OICA communications fall under the direct responsibility of the OICA presidency, with the help of the OICA secretariat. They aim at relaying to the press, media, policy makers, non-governmental organisations, etc input from global automotive industry experts on a variety of general issues affecting the global automobile industry. These issues may take on a variety of subjects affecting the global industry in general. OICA communications also aim at being as objective as possible and based on well-established facts gathered from a variety of sources. OICA members subsequently are invited to base their own communications on the OICA input and/or positions, if any, on that particular subject.
